This house at 2224 Liberty Street was owned and lived in by Phi Kappa Tau (PKT) for 36 years from 1922 - 1958. According to The Muhlenberg Weekly, this house was purchased by the fraternity in 1922 for $20,000 and gave them the distinction of being the first fraternity to reside on campus, located just one close block away.

When PKT moved into its newly finished campus house in 1958, Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) moved into this Liberty Street house until its own on-campus residence was finished in 1965-- making this house the last off campus residences of both organizations.
