Muhlenberg College Library (1923)
Text
Dr. Laird's plan for A Greater Muhlenberg called for an imposing library. By 1923, funds had been raised, and architects Ruhe & Lange were commissioned to design the building. These sketches represent the original, wider concept, and then the design closer to what was eventually constructed. The design called for a central section to be constructed first, with potential wings to be added later as needed. The eventual design narrowed the central unit and added the wings.
